Human remains hospitalized with EEA

A Rhode Island man who contracted equine encephalitis, remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Rhode Island Health Ministry said the man, who is in the County of Newport, first started showing symptoms on 5 August.

Health, officials said that the man was likely to bits by a mosquito infected in Massachusetts South East, a region identified as a high risk to the insect borne virus.

The last human case in Rhode Island was in 1998.

EEA is usually spread to humans by the bite of an infected mosquito .it ‘ is a serious disease in all ages and can same cause death in some cases.

Father sentenced to death released human hockey

A guilty recognized father beat another man to death their son hockey commitment was released from jail.

Thomas Junta read received a sentence of 6 to 10 years in January 2002 for manslaughter in the death of Michael Costin .the ‘ case drew attention the widespread problem of parental violence youth sporting events.

A spokesman for State prisons says junta was discharged Thursday from Correctional Center Northeastern Concord.

Junta testified that he faced Costin after her son was économis face to practice Costin was overseeing July 2000.Il said Costin was the aggressor.

Witnesses said that the two men were warring, Exchange profanities before brawling in front of children.

The jury found that Junta did not intend to kill Costin.

MIDDLEBORO, mass (WPRI) – Massachusetts, health authorities have reported a second case of equine encephalitis is potentially lethal, a rare and potentially fatal brain infection spread by mosquitoes.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, an old man 43 years in the County of Plymouth has been diagnosed with EEA.

Health officials are retained its identity to comply with privacy laws, but the Agency indicates there only human contracted the virus in the Southeast Massachusetts.
