Government signs lease at Cape Cod wind American

Developers of a wind farm planned off the coast of Massachusetts have signed for hire for 28 years with the Federal Government.

Lease signed Wednesday cost Cape Wind Associates LLC $ 88,278 in annual rent prior to production and operating costs 2 to 7% once it begins to generate electricity.

Once completed, the wind farm plans to have more than 25 square of 130 miles turbines.Il is expected to generate a maximum of 468 MW with an average of 182 megawatts planned output enough power for up to 75% of energy from Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha s Vineyard popular.

Ken Salazar u.s. Interior Secretary approved project in April.

The lease was signed to a meeting of the American Wind Energy Association in Atlantic City, N.J.
